Shipping companies & shipyards
EKK Anlagentechnik supplies shipping companies, shipyards and ship customers with components for cathodic corrosion protection (galvanic corrosion protection), earthing systems, water cooling systems as well as systems to prevent contamination and organic surface growth.
For systems to prevent microbial contamination and organic surface growth (Marine Growth Prevention Systems – MGPS), we have marine anodes with cofferdam flanges for sea chests, seawater filters or treatment tanks in our product range. These anodes are always used in pairs – predominantly in the metal combinations aluminium/copper or iron/copper.
We also supply sacrificial anodes made of low-potential metals such as aluminium or zinc, which are used for impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP).
We supply slip rings, silver carbon brushes and matching brush holders in various sizes and designs for shaft earthing systems. Box cooler anodes, which are used in water cooling systems, are also included in our product range.

Ship anodes for antifouling systems
The use of copper/aluminium or copper/iron anode systems has proven effective in preventing contamination and organic growth.
Corrosion protection with sacrificial anodes
So-called sacrificial anodes – usually made of the metals zinc and aluminium – are used as electrical or cathodic corrosion protection.
Shaft earthing systems
for ships
Our product range includes silver carbons including brush mounts and slip rings, which are used for earthing shafts. These are available in different sizes and designs.
Box cooler anodes for cooling systems
Box cooler anodes are used in water cooling systems on ships. The cooling seawater acts as a cooling medium.
